Description I keep my Phoenix puppet in a box for storage. I mention this because it explains how I got her to hold that pose. It's a bit awkward, but it lets you see her wings and tail somewhat.

That's amazing! How does it work?

Thanks!  She's a fairly simple puppet really.  Her wings are fixed outstretched in a flying pose and the head is controlled by a rod so she can look around.  There's another rod to support her body.  Her legs and tail can't be manipulated at all, they just hang.

You can kind of get a better idea of how she works from this picture - starlightglow.deviantart.com/a…

This puppet looks like she has real character. I like the way you've used all the different materials to make her, that works really well.

I have to admit there was a bit of an element of "what can I find that will work for Phoenix", which is why there are so many different fabrics involved. I was pretty pleased by the end effect though.

They all look like they belong together on the puppet so I think you made good choices. I'd love to see her in person if you ever bring her to a convention I'm at too. ^_^
