we had to create a mailing and portfolio for editorial design, to represent ourselves.i chose the color blue, because that is a color which is not often used for portfolio purposes, and also a color i don't use all too often.
the mailing is a small keychain gallery, with "the key to success"
hence the main portfolio is binded with a lock on the left corner. i was looking for a unique way to bind it, yet i wanted to be able to change the files, whenever i want to. to keep it all together i created a slipcase, which also has a recent picture glued to the outside.
all in all i am very happy with it. it works without difficulties and is not your run of the mill portfolio
depression sucks, but at least i got something productive out of it (even if i went a little wild on this one...)
acrylic paint, structure paste and little mirrors sticked in between.

wow this is nice I love the design. HOw you can send the artas individual presentations but you can still keep them together so they don't get lost with the addition of the lock. what if the person wanted to take one of the piece off though?

oh wow. the folder does not have original artwork, these are only prints. so i could open the lock and leave one artwork there.
but i really wouldn't do that, it was far too much work!!

i remember being told to do one of these in college. The teacher was totally against this type of portfolio i thinkit had something to do with practicality and the ability to reporduce massive quantities of the said item.

my teacher said it should be selfmade unique and full of awesomeness.
she also said you should be able to make more of these if you have to leave it in some company (HAHAHA)
