I forgot to mention I have a kill switch for 2p!HetaOni? So if I should ever want to discontinue, I have an alternate end up my sleeve that can be used at any point and should leave readers satisfied. :IPrologue

Well, Prupan is a ship that is teased in HetaOni, so I tease it now and then. However, there was no interaction in this part between Japan and Prussia that could be interpreted as romantic in any way or form, so it's likely just your imagination.

I just thought Prussia seemed a little bit suspicious of Japan's lack of focus in that last bit. It's probably just me being obsessive, though...

Oh no, that is true. That was intentional. But as far as I'm concerned, that's just normal interaction. Well, I mean, non-romantic interaction. :I
That snippet is just to point out that the characters notice when other characters behave OOC. I want to avoid characters suddenly claiming others are acting weird, when they don't seem to have ever noticed before. Also, it balances out Prussia's lack of dialogue thus far.

At first, I was like "What GerIta? Germany and Italy have barely any interaction in this part", so I had to go back and read it.
What you're seeing here is the development of a strong friendship between Italy and Germany, as well as indication that Germany is becoming less dependent on Prussia, as he's chosen to trust and help Italy, instead of talking to Prussia about it first. Japan comments on Germany's sudden change, to make it clear to readers that this isn't normal behaviour for Germany, as well as to mark the beginning of character development for said nation. Not all acts of kindness have to stem from sexual attraction.
Sorry this reply isn't the usual ambiguous answer aimed at teasing shippers. I've just come straight out of finishing a Lord of the Rings marathon and I think that should explain my deadpan answer.
