This is a tribute to Morgan Weistling's "Kissing the Face of God". The original is in oil and is breath-taking. My friend Monica asked me to paint it for her. She is devoutly Catholic, and has a special connection to the theme of mother and child displayed in the composition. Let me just say that an artist knows they've hit the bullseye when the client sees the work for the first time and bursts into tears. I feel honored to have helped my friend find peace during her spiritual journey.18 x 24 watercolor/tempra on 140lb watercolor paper
