Sorry I don't know! I tried gimp but it was too confusing for me because I was so used to Photoshop >w< I think you can still animate just not the same way as this. And I'm not sure if you can transform pixels but at least you know the way it looks when you draw the eyes 'v'

The layers you have selected are the one's you are able to move. If your drawing is on many layers, select them all, right click, and select merge layers to make them all one layer.

You shouldn't need it if you have photoshop. If you don't have it, I'm not sure how much imageready let's you draw in it, but you can animate frames to make a gif.

i have another program to animate, its easier but this is a good way too i have photoshop CS5 but im not too good :S
The program I use is Easy Gif Animator Pro. 5 if someone want to have it its so easy to use it

As long as the program is capable of creating what you wanted in your mind then it's fine to use c: I've become more used to the drawing tools and controls in photoshop. If i went into easy gif 5 It seems like it would take me forever to draw at the same time I'm animating, but maybe you would want to still use it if you're happy with it ^^
