Wow, this is... whew. Great demon critter. It reminds me of the swamp monster in "Icons," though it's clearly not the same creature.

No, I just checked out your swamp beast design, and that's what I remember from the show. I think it's just a stylistic similarity or some such junk. multiple pairs of weirdly-placed eyes, fused beak-teeth, big head, six thin limbs in front, loooong thin tapering body and tail.

If you kept doing the same thing over and over, then you'd be repating yourself. This is just two monsters with similar characteristics.

Thanks man. I really felt like I was cooking when I was drawing them up, making some designs that were pretty new and unique. Shame that so few of them ever got seen...

Yeah, it was a fun show to work on. The sad thing with Zippy is that the producer liked him SO much, he wanted to have a physical model sculpted, and then 3D-scanned to make the digital model... but that didn't work out, by which time there wasn't enough time to model him the normal way, so he ended out on the cutting-room floor. Poor Zippy...
