LOL, this convoluted mess looks like what I would come up with when we had to do proofs at the chalkboard.
And I love the "duh!" by the circled 64.

I must say even though I'm horrible at maths and such depictions of the subject are warrant of resurfacing traumatic memories of like high school class experiences, on the occasions I actually happen to understand the equations problem solving mathematics can prove pretty fun and satisfying.
And yes, total killer expression, may leave its onlookers wondering if he's seriously serious or seriously sarcastic.

Morta would approve. She likes maths almost as much as she likes trolling maths teachers

Nick: I don't approve of "trolling" teachers, simply pointing out their every mistake... for the benefit of the students, of course, I take no satisfaction in it...

Morta: Psssshhhyeahright
Me, I take huge satisfaction in it. It's not so much the accidental slips that get to me, though, it's the "lies we tell to children" stuff, like in preschool, pretendin' atoms are like little mini solar systems. Some teachers are cool about it, but I think my maths teachers get pretty sick of bein' asked "does that generalise to the complex plane?" all the time

Nick: Oh, don't get me STARTED on oversimplifications, in my time they do that until you're in college! not to mention people still say the sun is made of "gas" and... no.. I shouldn't even get started...

Morta: Whaaaaat? Oh man, that is turbo lame! You've got yer work cut out for ya, mate! I mean, why teach kids a bunch stuff you're just gunna hafta unteach two years later? I wouldn't mind so much if they'd just say, "OK, this is a simplified model, we'll look at more realistic models next year"!

I like math, but it's a little to late my time to make sense of any of that stuff
