Poor Hestus.
is soooooo gonna kill me.
I'll leave his survival on hold. I have the scripts written already, and I don't want to spoil anybody. Please be understanding, thank you.
Parvani is an OC by me.

Aww. Parvani aimed at his most vital organ, so... ouch.
Should've asked you before drawing, then. I'll just say that Parvani has great aiming and precision.

lol maybe he didn't expect an ally (much less such a highborn) to do that. Even a trained professional can get caught off guard.
Still. He was trained to counter biotics, disrupt it if necessery. Biotics aren't such a challenge up close if they can't make use of their powers - that was his, lets say, original purpose. lol there's this whole plot around his 'background' which caused some serious drama between him and Teishen XD
Rofl but feel free to ask stuff.. if needed.

Now you make me want to know his background story more. XD
And it's making me so tempted to make Vahana and him go into a dog-fight, considering Vahana pwned Javik.
But nah, it's enough pain for Hestus today.

Lol,... he's an imperial vanguard, an agent of the Assembly. Those serve similar purpose as the spectres in ME (agents, bodyguards to the Voices, occassional assassins.. all the 'black ops' stuff heh.) Also, they are very loyal to their 'order'. The thing is he's been undercover on Vessala. T was not happy to find out (more so when they are....well, joined => drama bomb )
Rofl! Poor Hestus.

Ouch, what a complicated liaison. XD
Life as an Imperial Vanguard sounds easier than the Archknights', though, I'd envy Hestus to have at least some bits of civilian life.

Yeah, a bit. Love, hate ... and all that cheesy jazz.
Well, he had been trained since he was a small kid. Never actually got to know 'civilian life'. As he's undercover he has to wear a 'mask' all the time, shield his mind from leaking any kind of information that would give him away. And he has to lie to his lover. For a long time. T's been always feeling there's something he's not telling her, that's why she's being such a cold bitch to him most of the time.
Lol, I just have this sick habit of making my characters as 'fubar' as possible.

StellarStateLogic In reply to Laitiel [2012-05-24 03:09:03 +0000 UTC]
I used the term "civilian life" as basic elements in life... like a chance to choose the one for you to love, or the ability of loving/trusting an individual enough to go into an intimate relationship.
Archknights were ultimately a "vessel" which represents the Virtue bestowed onto them based on their biotic specialties and personality, so they are war-machines sculpted by the Order, knowing only wars and the Code as their reson d'etre... occasionally they'd develop into a family-like relationship with fellow knights, but Archknights were forbidden to produce offspring.
Secret identity is a very fun element to play with. I'm just amazed that Teishen could have been shielded away from the secret for such a long time, you know, as a bond-mate. Hestus is apparently well-trained.
Well... since this comic is an all fluffy-rosy war comic (I'm being sarcastic to myself here), we'll give him a chance to redeem that. :3

In that case yes, mostly XD
Awww, poor Vahana. :C
Hmm anyway. That's pretty much what T's live had been before she retired. Till she, proverbially, said 'fuck that' and went on doing...something else. She can't have kids either anymore (lol which I remember caused drama on the meme.. lol why do ppl think it such a tragedy?).
Yeaah and that's what pissed her even more than the thing itself. That he was able to do it at all. (its one thing to lie a stranger in the face, entirely different when you're bonded to the other one lol)
lols.. heh? XD
sry sry Im spamming your page AGAIN.

StellarStateLogic In reply to Laitiel [2012-05-24 07:31:32 +0000 UTC]
Yeah I remember the meme, though I'd really want to know why she couldn't have kids. It's kinda like a coincident, but in my story, Parvani couldn't have kids "anymore", either.
And some people just love shipping people and letting them have a bunch of kids, I for one don't support on that kind of value.
You're not spamming at all, really. I enjoy reading stuffs like headcanon stories as long as they make sense. I think yours is one of those very interesting ones, like I would beg you for more until you're sick of telling them.

Well that 'order' of hers.. they are something like priests. They had to undergo a rite ( 'of dedication' lol) which makes them sterile. As with the Archknights their purpose was to 'inflict peace upon the galaxy' by waging wars for the Empire (yay for Protheans). They are usually like that for life. T just had an… identity crisis, lets say heh. What happened to Parvani?
Lol yeaah. I try not to pair my chars with canon characters. There is much more possibilities within the ‘verse than just that.
I heard ppl want to ship Vahana x Javik? Imo, don’t bulge into the pressure. Their relationship is entirely ok as it is (Vahana being this ‘parental figure’ ).
I’m an old spammer what can you do. But hey thanks for ‘listening’ anyway :3

StellarStateLogic In reply to Laitiel [2012-05-24 08:41:52 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, if that's what Teisen had to do with her life so she could live, then there really isn't much to judge its righteousness.
May I also ask, does that "order" had to do with she being in the Prothean Rachni War?
Because I got some Archknights who were there (it was also the Penumbra Apex's first deployment) and so... I kinda wanna know who were on the battlefield.
And yeay for the great Prothean Empire. XD
Parvani and her husband, King Sumiradda, got into an accident on their starship when she was pregnant with her first child. Parvani used her biotic power to save her husband, and the excessive use of the power backfired to her physical body (like the last panel of strip 3 where you saw Vahana drawing blood), so she she lost her baby and had basically became infertile. Prothean cycle had state-of-the-art biotechnology, and Parvani could have just implant a new womb, but she gave up with the idea when she knew her mother died giving birth to Vahana. So Parvani went back and stayed in the Graileann Palace and took care of Vahana until the little princess was able to start with her primary education.
I don't pair OCs with canon characters unless I'm overly-fanatic with a certain character and I've made sure there are no canon opponents.
But I'll leave the imagination to people who have read this comic, I don't really mind shippings as long as the shipper don't forcefully sell the idea to other people.
As to Vahana's shipping, well, I have that in mind. No worries.
If Javik's head-over-heels with Vahana, it would most likely because he admired her, and he had to kept his "manly promise".
Ahh I need to stop here to avoid spoilers!!! >3
Heh I love listening, it's always fun learning new ideas and sharing stories. We can only improve our storytelling skills by telling them.

It was her choice to join and her choice to leave. By the time she retired she was already considered a ‚war hero‘…which didn’t really make her all that happy. Thats why she became the Magistrate on such a remote and ‚rural‘ colony.. to kinda get of the grid.
Yep. With Rachni – T led one of the extermination units. Most ‚clerics‘ (which i tend to, very originally, call them ~lol) took on roles of high-ranking officers in such conflicts. They were to be found basically where ‚shit hit the fan‘ and were usually rather effective in dealing with it.
For the Empire indeed.
Ouch poor Parvani … but thats nice she took care of Vahana when she lost her mum.
Rofl. Yeaaaah XD precisely.
Heheheee I don’t mind spoilers. But then again other ppl might reading it dang it.
That’s true

Parvani was kinda having this conplex emotion with Vahana since the very beginning...
In my headcanon, the prothean culture consider the color white as the color of death. So this must have sunk into Parvani's mentality when she saw the albino baby, like she might somehow relate her baby's and her mother's deaths to Vahana'd birth as "the one who was born by taking the lives of other", or "a harbinger to an Age of Death". Not to mention Emperor Graileann with the Foreseer ability must've caught something up and have eventually decided to send the girl away from home when she was only about 8-9 in equivalent to human age (figured that he might not be able to protect his little girl). But I probably will never make a comic/story out of it... the views of life and death is a very deep topic to cultivate with.

Then again, it's probably the royal blood which is making Parvani able to penetrate Hestus' defense. Whatever, he's on stand by for now.
