Chancellor-class battleship
The Telenese battleship Chancellor was once the pride of the Telennese Unified Northern Fleet, a massive 220 metre-long warship sporting Saraneth Industrial Steel 15-inch 50 caliber Mark III guns in four triple turrets (2 fore, 2 aft, 12 in total), 4 triple 720mm torpedo tubes, dozens of 20mm and 40mm anti-aircraft guns, and numerous 150mm secondary batteries, along with a main belt of 400-450mm rolled steel armour, and a reinforced steel icebreaking prow. Well-balanced, with a turning circle of 900 meters and a top speed of 28 knots, Chancellor was built ad-hoc to break through the Aurous Straight Blockade and spearhead the invasion of Lysus Vrynni, the Imperial capitol. It was, however, captured during its break-through, at a great loss of life for both the Queen’s Royal Guards and the Telennese Navy. It’s capture was followed by an attempt at scuttle by its formerly allied ships, though its ice-penetrating ability allowed it to flee relatively unscathed from its pursuers, who were unequipped with icebreaking gear. Once captured, it was used to study the naval architecture techniques and technology available to the Telennese, and would eventually serve as the Magisterial Flagship during the First Expansion War.
