Are your patterns randomly placed, or do you lay them down planning where they should appear and how. Thanks

they are normally improvised. Sometimes I feel a pen work should be painted. A step beyond, Passion Fish, etc are improvised. Of course I have to make decisions on which way I should let them go. Hard to explain but I think you may know what I mean. They are characters more then patterns, or both one could say, but you'll notice the're all characters

Oh you gave me a good laugh with the "racking your brain in order to spread your sanity" I love when I hear comments like yours because I know you see it, at least understand it would take a year to really know this piece. That's great, it's why I rack my brain, drain myself emotionally with many of them.
