I love the curvature with the spikes...it almost looks to be the backbone or vertebrae of the bird!! Very lovely!!

you know i've been hiding them... but i think maybe i should start putting them on. i don't have a scanner but i do have trusty digital camera...
so yeah... i'll do that. i have a question for you though.. is this a style you saw somewhere.. or did you start doing it when you were young and it just sort of grew.. it looks like the dreams behind my eyes right before i fall asleep.. you know the ones i wish i could draw or speak...

thanks again, and it's nice you see you see the same things I do I'm sure not all of it, but the general flow and look of it with some characterzations.
I did 4, I believe, or five over a month and a half to 2 months. Still have 2 or 3 pen and inks to post. You know I don't like to post to many closer togeher. For the most part I've posted when I finish them, but in this case, I didn't. Most paintings take me 100 to 150 hrs.
Thes---hmmm---from 30 to 50 hrs. Something like that for 9x 12's

lol I know Jenn--it is one serious looking bird. Viewed from a distance with a little different lighting you can sort of see a mans head there too on the left, while towards the bach is the hair, like a wavy hair. Thank you Jenn

its like you have plaited/braided this bird by drawing it. [i am sorry, but i am not sure if the words are right] its very complicated and interesting piece.

Another eye catcher, so many details, are those spikes on the side? I often wonder where you get the idea from, or if you just start to doodle and go from there

It all starts with a few lines. The remaining I call improvisation. Same with Jazz in a way. Instand composition over chord progressions,etc. The improvised line can be very complex and composed instantanious. Similiar to what I do with my art style. Something like that

Just got back last week from Florida. It was great. I talked (as usual) to many people. Especially at the rest stops where smoking is permitted on the Disney grounds.
Met some artists ytoo. Much fun. Hope all is going good for you.
