I love the shapes and the way you've used colours here, it makes me think of a coloured city viewed from above. Lovely one!

thanks again. That one was a DD about a month ago. It's actually the left turn of Discovery-Pipe Dreams. It's a turner viewable from any position.

Your welcome. Very nice.

I have yet to get to many deviations since I've been behind like what seems to be a long time. So, yours on on the liust for sure .
Yes, the're called turners, (viewable from any angle) or so I've been told by a long time artist locally. Not all of mine, but many, can be viewed all sides, some 2 or 3, others just 2, and yes--some no other views at all (very few)

It's nice and all, very colorful, but I can't get a sense of the whole thing. Even with my ample resolution, I can't even fit half the image on my screen at once. And the preview is so minuscule, it's impossible to make anything decent out.

Stepbeyond In reply to Undead0rion [2007-07-05 04:51:45 +0000 UTC]
I know, and I apologize for that. I've been complaining about the net thing with art for awhile.
Even when you see the whole thing it's just so much less then it is. Loses so much of it's life. Many images aren't seen being so up close to a moniter.
Sort of 6 of 1--half dozen of another
Thousands of people from all over the world get to enjoy these pieces but the drawings, paintings get the life kicked out of them. lol
Yes, all art suffers, but my style gets absolutely clobbered.
I'd be glad to email you a piece you'd like to see.
Thanks for taking the time to try and see it and comment on it, it's appreciated

here's her dA account some of it is just trials and whatnot, but some of them are quite good.

Thank you.
Yes, I would love to see her work also.
I've played sax for many years and I don't want to sound like any other sax player either, know what I mean. I have my own unique voice on the horn and want, like most artists, my own art also.

Thank you for the comment, appreciated. Yes, lol, birds. I can't seem get away from them. I did own a Cockatiel for 23 yrs. Maybe that has something to do with it
This is the third time today I'm hearing "reminds me of picasso and Dali" Hmmm since I never really studied the works of most name artists, I don't know. I have seen a few pieces by Picasso, I see some aspects of me, but not really. Dali? Again, I just never thought of his work having anything in it I do, but I haven't seen much of his work either.
I have been likened to another form of "Echer" That I can see. Much different, but the insanity with mathmatics I can relate.
The funniest comment I heard in my local area was "you are like an Echer on crack"
No, I don't take drugs lol

thank you very much for the nice words. That is cool that it was submitted on your birthday.
BTW Discovery is a 4 in one painting. Each flip gives a different view and changes everything.
The original way it was created is "Discovery-Pipe Dreams" I believe they're all in my gallery.
also "Discovery-Biker Bird" and "Discovery-Jolly Fellow"
Thanks again

thank you very much for such a comment. Yes, I understand what happens when these pieces get into you. You can look at them over and over and you will see more and more. That's the way it is with these.
Discovery Professor is the right turn from it's original creation. The same painting is 4 different paints in a way. Discovery--Pipe Dreams (the position it was created) Discovery--(professor, right turn) Discovery- Biker Bird, Upsidedown, and the last turn (Discovery--Jolly Fellow. lol
So you can. in reality, look at this for 6 months before it reveals everything to you.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Did you see this in all it's positions? There's also wonderful mirrors on this too. I got my art times worth out of this--it took about 150 hrs It was worth it.

Thank you. I've heard that a few times over the years. Interesting.
I must admitt I don't know most of his work. Actually I've never really looked or studied most of the "art names & their work" that most know---especially art students. I'm starting to view more art now over the past few years.
