The first thing I would tell you is to pick one trade (either penciling or inking) and just do that one and perfect it. Whichever you choose, just go out and find who you like to look at and then compare your work to theirs. Obviously, there will be a big difference because you're just learning and they're professionals but it still can help you out.
After that, I'd suggest finding any book on anatomy you can and study the muscles. Some personal favorites are: [link] [link] and [link] Next I would go and take a couple figure drawing classes and draw from life as much as possible. If you don't have the money for that, just go to a park or on a train and sketch people in their normal surroundings.
Once you get the fundamentals down, then you can go into the actual form of making comics. The best and most popular book on it is this one: [link] Once you get more advanced you can look into books on perspective like this one: [link]
After you do all that, then you can start putting together your samples to show at conventions. And for that, I recommend reading my journal entry about how Joe Quesada does it: [link]
Once all that is complete, pat yourself on the back because it will no doubt take a very long time to get there, and just remember to never give up on your dreams.
Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, just ask.

Actually, and I wouldn't recommend this, but all the color is done on one layer.

No, I'm just stupid. If this was for money and they wanted something changed, it'd be quite the bitch to do so

Truth be told I was not a fan of this piece. I think his Secret invasion stuff is much better. And I feeled this is kinda messy.
But its a good piece to work on your colours, and I believe you did this justice.

Thanks, Guile. I'll tell you, though, it was a pain in the ass with that many figures and trying to make the whole thing cohesive (and I still don't think it is, but oh well). Glad you dig it!
