Working on earth textures some more.Started this in the morning then finished it just now.
I know the theme is over done.
I really just did this so I could have a cool wallpaper.

KickAss! you wouldn't mind telling me how you did it do you? Because i'm a really good artist and i just got a wacom pad for my computer and haven't really gotten the hang of how to shade and make effects like detailed smoke and stuff. I have Corel painter essentials 2, photoshop elements 3, and Nik color effects Pro 2. it would be badass if you could give me some tips or something. Thnx

jeez its been about a year sence I've worked on space art.
I remember on this one I was just fooling around with textures and layer modes in photoshop.
my advice is to just play around with it, the lens flare? I forgot how I made that, it was a plug in, I forgot the name.
try and google lens flare filters for photoshop.

Very nice! Well done. I think it would look better if you made the earth planet a little brighter towards the light, since water reflects much sunlight.

dang, you just keep pumping out images.
i think that the lenseflares polygontal shape is fucking sweet. the planet textures rock, and the starfield is pretty awesome as well, but I'd like to see some more nebula based work from you.

Pretty nice, the textures on the smaller planet are great. The big one though, is a bit off. The lensflare square effect is also pointless, I would say remove them. I do like the clouds however, very much.

I really like the lensflare, but too much of these pentagonal reflections - the smaller planet is very "dinyctis-like" , very good texture - even your starfield is impressive !

This really reminds me of the ending for Freespace 2. The only thing that I don't like about this is the lensflares, they are pentagonal. Apart from that, this is a really good picture, lots of nice details. Also the nebula wisps are a nice touch.

nice and simple
The only changes i would make would be to remove some of those lense flare reflections because the density is too high. Also if you look on the small planet towards the middle, theres something that looks like a small finger print the way the texture has been layed.
