Although Seraphim are a bit more metaconceptual than most could tolerate, I believe this to be one of the most accurate interpretations of a Seraph with aΒ physicality. I like how the eyes are covered by light rather than two of the wings. Just really wonderful work.

Lovely work with the shadows and textures of this illustration! The stained glass windows are a nice touch too.
One thing I keep having trouble wrapping my mind around is if it's anatomically possible for someone to fly with three pairs of wings. I mean, that's three extra pairs of limbs we're talking about here. They do look cool though. ^_^

This is one of my favorite paintings of an angel! I saw this on here way back and I loved it then too. Now that I am a member, I can tell you how much I love it. The whole thing is brilliantly done! the colors are pefect... the gold shades mixed with the orange and the yellow, all of them blended with great skill. And the look of the angel, and how it is a seamless blend of male and female elements that creates a truly androgynous harmony that simply sings to me! All brilliant. The way the angel is emerging from the shadows with the light filtering through in shafts from the stained glass windows is beautiful to behold! I also am quite taken with your choice of making the angel a six-winged Seraphim rather than a simple Cherubim or a standard two-winged angel like people usually do. The light coming from its' eyes is very intimidating, and gives that look of divine power to the being itself. All in all... simply glorious! No other word could suffice to describe this.

Abmonition Archangel. Probably one of the few Zendikar cards I loved from the set, and this one's art really topped the charts in my book.

I find angels who's faces are covered so that you can only see below the nose, very stylish and cool. But its mostly because of masks and not light.

I think that's some of the most gorgeous painted fabric I've ever seen. You can really tell exactly what the material would feel like. The lighting is truly astounding, as well.

not to nitpick your amazing artwork or anything but that is actually a seraphim. But the lighting is very dramatic and I do feel really awe inspired, so I would say you did a good job!
