Commission for " 'sThis painting was a bit of a challenge to me because I had some freedom in it but not much. I mainly went off the direction from ~flatlinedreams who was very detailed oriented in the way he wanted it. I don't mind this one bit because it's great to see something from a different perspective, this only makes me stronger as an artist.
So I asked ~flatlinedreams what the meaning behind this piece is and to which he responded:
"Some individuals on the Bioware forums, myself among them, believe that, if Samara were to ever have a romantic moment with Shepard, it would amount to a quiet time spent together, and nothing more. This is the scene that came to my mind, in trying to imagine how that might look."

It's skewed yet very balanced because of the characters in the middle, it almost like the characters are trying to balance themselves in 'the universe'. So easy to stray from 'the path

Incredible, I like how you tilted the image.
Just curious but how long did it took you to draw that outside view, there is a lot more going on than just a few stars and specks.

Thank you! You know the funny thing is...the window view was the easiest and done quicker than anything else. Mainly because I used brushes that would speckle/splatter, also used brushes that would mimic cloud textures and for the stars, the "glow" brush in Painter. I finished the window view first because it's totally random and "made up", most of the time went into Samara and Shepard, not the details but just basic shapes. I guess I'm weird about that, to me it takes longer to do a person than a full scene because the slightest thing off on a person wont look like them at all you know?
