Description I made this after noticing some very strong similarites between the Sayian Saga (1st part Raditz) and Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla. The basic plot is an evil brother (Spacegodzilla and Raditz) come to Earth intendint to rule it and take the hero's (Godzilla and Goku) son (Baby Godzilla and Gohan). The hero teams up with an ally that was inteded to destroy them (M.O.G.U.E.R.A and Piccolo). They fight to get the hero's son back and succeed in doing that, but the hero (Goku) and the ally (M.O.G.U.E.R.A) looses their life in the process. Mothra was put in there due to fanfiction reasons. I do plan on continuing with Angurius/Krillin, Rodan/Yamcha and so on. I'm willing to take any suggestions. If you add this to your favorites, please comment on it first. Thanks.

Those work really well, actually.

I thought so too and then I think that Godzilla and Dragon ball Z influence each other more than most would think, hell even Gamera and ing Ghidorah get cameos in the Dragon ball franchise.

I remember Gamera, but when did Ghidorah cameo. Also, Baragon did too I think.

It was in Dragon ball when Goku was still a child, during one of the tournaments it was a brief moment but Ghdiorah was present as one of the audiences. Check it out on the Wiki it has a picture of him in the audiences just watching Goku fighting.Β

I didn't know he was either until I saw that picture and man I was laughing about it because obviously the creator has some sort of ties to Toho to make this.Β

Makes me wonder what kind of ties those are.

I don't know but it would be cool if they placed some of the Kaiju characters in the Dragon ball universe as allies or villains.

Don't think they could get the rights, but they could create designs similar to them.

Not into crossoveres huh?Β

Yeah, it is a little hypocritical of them to make that statement. To be fair, they may have said that in more recent times since most of those happened years ago.

But yet their also allowing Legendary to have Gpdzilla have a cinematic universe with King kong and other new and old monsters. Which might mean their warming up maybe.

SteveIrwinFan96 In reply to Dragoritus [2016-02-21 13:09:45 +0000 UTC]

I think they are. They probably wouldn't allow Godzilla vs. Kong otherwise.

Exactly though I wouldn't put King kong up against Godzilla again but that's just me.

It wouldn't be my first option for a crossover, but it's better than having none at all. Especially given the fact that Godzilla probably won't face Gamera anytime soon.

Yeah that's true, or Pacific rim but the time difference between the two is a good reason why they shouldn't go with it.

SteveIrwinFan96 In reply to Dragoritus [2016-02-22 15:32:51 +0000 UTC]

Exactly. Not to mention, it seems like Pacific Rim 2 is off the table for the time being.

SteveIrwinFan96 In reply to Dragoritus [2016-02-23 04:04:53 +0000 UTC]

Don't think that's happening, either. As good as Pacific Rim was, it didn't seem to impress Warner Bros or Legendary box office wise, so they don't seem interested in continuing it.

Dragoritus In reply to SteveIrwinFan96 [2016-02-23 04:21:33 +0000 UTC]

Legendary owns it they took with them to Universal, plus Guillermo del toro has stated that the second movie is still a go just might be held back.

SteveIrwinFan96 In reply to Dragoritus [2016-02-23 13:55:11 +0000 UTC]

True, but he does say that with a lot of his projects. Most of which don't happen. Case in point, I doubt we'll be seeing Hellboy 3 anytime soon, especially with Ron getting up there in age.

Because no one is willing to take the chance to get rich off him since he asks more money for each sequel to make it better than the last.

Exactly. So something will change in order to get most of those projects off the ground. The only one I know is happening is Justice League Dark, but he's not directing it.

Creative differences and budget issues are the two biggest reasons I've heard.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragoritus In reply to SteveIrwinFan96 [2016-02-24 05:09:00 +0000 UTC]

I mostly heard it was budget issues due to Guillermo favoring more realistic made costumes, costing more than CGI.Β

Pretty much what I've been hearing. Thankfully, Pacific Rim 2 has a director, Steven S. DeKnight, who was the showrunner of Daredevil. However, Del Toro is only a producer.

Probably, but I heard that it was just connecting Kong with Godzilla using Monarch. Honestly, though, it wouldn't surprise me if we do get some kind of reference to Pacific Rim.

They can do it as they explained in pacific rim that the kaiju world is another dimension.

So who knows what will happen in th monster cinematic universe.

Exactly. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they explain that's where Ghidorah is from. That, or the other Kaiju that Kong and Godzilla will fight later on in their film.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SteveIrwinFan96 In reply to Dragoritus [2016-02-27 22:32:48 +0000 UTC]

My guess is a reference since this Kong is supposed to be a descendant of the original Kong. I think I heard this one is the original's great grandson or something along those lines.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragoritus In reply to SteveIrwinFan96 [2016-02-28 00:08:42 +0000 UTC]

This new kong is reboot not a sequel.

If it was a sequel then there would be no point for a remake of Godzilla vs king kong.

Because the original was about 19 feet tall. Peter Jackson's was 25 feet.

They're remaking kong so that they can make a kong vs Godzilla again.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SteveIrwinFan96 In reply to Dragoritus [2016-02-28 04:11:31 +0000 UTC]

What I meant was that since it takes place within the same timeline as Universal's Kong, but it's long after the first one was killed on the Empire State Building. The film, from what I've heard, takes place somewhere in the 70's, unlike the original that took place in the 30's.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragoritus In reply to SteveIrwinFan96 [2016-02-28 06:02:00 +0000 UTC]

Yes it is in the 70s however the universal kong was a single time only.

If Skull island was a sequel to peter Jackson's king kong it would need to explain why Kong is still alive and back on Skull island.

That's why they're rebooting the King kong franchise.

So that Project monarch from Godzilla can connect to that movie because monarch wasnt created until after WW2 as stated in the official comic book based on the godzilla 2014 movie.

I know but I'd rather have a Godzilla and Gamera then Godzilla vs king kong all over again.

Who knows they might have the permission just keeping it a secret.

SteveIrwinFan96 In reply to Dragoritus [2016-02-29 15:17:33 +0000 UTC]

I would like to think that, but you couldn't get Toho to get off their high horse to make that happen. Kadokawa Pictures, the studio behind most of the Gamera films, approached them to do Godzilla vs. Gamera, but Toho turned it down. I've heard many reasons, but the two reasons I hear is that they think Gamera is bellow them and wouldn't be a box office draw and that since Godzilla was the villain of the film, he'd loose. Keep in mind they wanted to use the GMK Godzilla and the Heisei Gamera.
