I'm still trying to force my way through my drawing funk by making myself draw, this time I thought I would have a go at the monthly challenge, with the theme being DC's Super family.Obviously this would be the main man himself, Superman, and was inspired by the brilliant work of Jim Lee.
This was all drawn out and inked by hand and just scanned in.
I will be colouring this and will probably go back and use my trusty coloured pencils.
If anyone else wants to have a go at colouring it they are more than welcome as long as they show me the end result and obviously credit me and this piece.
As per usual I am always keen to hear others thoughts.

I know what you mean. It's the reason I don't paint very often. The results are just so...(seemingly) permanent. But with drawing, the more experimentation you do the better, I reckon. What's the worst that can happen? Wasted some paper and a bottle of ink. Who knows, you might create a new style.

I have the fear that I will spill the ink everywhere being the clutz that I am... and since I tend to do most of my drawing on the couch I'd hate to take that risk.
I have dabbled in other mediums though, and probably will again.

There's a lovely grey patch there after I gave it three or four goings over with the turps.

Great pic. It's good to see him looking chunky and powerful (like he could actually rip a hole through a mountain). Let's face it if you were a bad guy and you saw this coming towards you faster than a speeding bullet then it would time to change you pants!

You are probably right about the wind thing... I was planning to have him flying through space if that makes a difference... or maybe he uses Super Gel in his hair to keep it in place?
