Description
This was by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to set up. Had help from a good friend trying to get this to work.Enjoy!
Edit updated:
Please note that this is NOT two separate photos merged together, I set it up like that, and shot it in one shot. Just thought i might need to clarify that.
Due to popular demand i'm gonna explain this shot. It's easier than it looks. I simply took a very very thin piece of hard plastic, cut it out in the shape of the glass, and put it between the two glasses. It's there, you just don't see it. The tricky part was to hold the plastic piece tight, flip the glass upside down, and put it on top of the other glass without losing too much liquid. Now you know!

Coolness, ever think of making the top glass filled with oil so that you wouldn't have to have that piece of plastic inbetween?

Great work. It must have taken a lot of patience. My version of that picture would probably be both the glasses broken with the liquids mixing. In other words, I would have gotten angry and slammed them against the wall .

This is why you should always explain how you did stuff in your description. Because now I'm going to ask what everyone else asked. How did you get the two liquids to stay seperated? Is one of them a colored oil or something? (thinking that oil floats on water)

What did you use to stabilize the fluids, gelatine? It's a great picture!

Very impressive indeed, not only in that it must have been hard to setup, but also the colours are nice and vivid.
