Submission for the Stylized Animals July challenge: Cheetahs

Two star-cheetahs, mother and cub, racing through the cosmos. I'm not sure whether I picture them as guardian spirits, or a deceased family making the most of their afterlife.

This was done on black paper with soft pastels. I misplaced my fixative, so rather than smear my scanner I took a photo of the piece outside in the sunlight. The graininess of the paper actually gave a decent night sky effect, so I ran with it and only did minimal digital retouching.
