ok i admit it. survivor sweep wasnt as nice as it could have been.ive tried to polish stuff up for this shot, but mainly i've just tweaked down the lighting and rendered it all i the same scene rather than compositing it.
again big props to Failurecrusade ([link] ) who built the ship and Daemoria ([link] ) who drew it

Truly astounding. May I use it as an intro scene to tell the story of my exam work (Flash game) titled Vengeance Void? It's non-profit, and I would also give credits, and even include hyperlinks, or nearly any smaller form of tribute if you let me. However, I have a deadline at my teacher on 12th of March, and I don't want to disappoint him with a low-quality or too WIP-looking masterpiece.
The story in brief: the hero (the player) was one of the few survivors of an attack on a deep-space colony, where his home and family were brutally demolished in front of this eyes. He now holds a grudge against the organization responsible. The game is a simple 2D shooter, you can see a quite up-to-date version in my gallery.

Hm, I've to second ullic's request. The texture above the rear engine (I suppose it's the rear engine, isn't it?) is too blurry for such a high-quality piece of art. Great work on the rest

I think that is 2 planets colliding (correct me if I am wrong Strangelet) so unless a ship gave one of the a push... its all "natural"!

good call. yeh theyre the Siamese planets of EBD-59, a lil system just on the fringes of quite a hectic nebulaic formation.
good for battles since there's alot of cover and EM interference.
the two planets formed on opposite sides of their sun, and as the larer one gained momentum it accellerated until it smacked into the smaller one. well smacked it a bit much. it bumped into it, and has been for hundreds of years. theyre grinding eachother to dust over a number of decades.
