Usually if any of my markers die,I put some alcohol on the tip (usually the one to clean wounds and stuff)

Nice tutorial ! Did you know that if you use the prismacolor blender marker on the color pencil areas it smooths out the scratchiness and looks more solid?

Well some people cant afford copics because they are pretty pricey. Also they don't sell that many shades at my local art store, anything I can do instead of layering 4 different shades of copics?

Yeah. I understand.
You can always turn to your color pencils! Any kind works (for me anyway)! Just make sure that you don't roughly color it so you see where you colored. :\ That's the hard part. What you can do actually is layer 2 different shades of copics and keep layering in the same spot to get a different shade. :\ That might not always work though, so just play around.

Oh ok, I can make two shades with coloured pencils and two shades with skin copics. Im going to try and get more copics soon so will that work out ok?

Have you tried using a white jell pen for highlights? I think I've heard of people using jell pens for that...

I love how it turn out so clean! It's looks like color pencils, but something make it different.
I always wondered... if a person use it the wrong way, and make a little mistake, how can you erase it? O_O"
Dumb question, I know "OTL I never used it tough

StrawberryKing In reply to felipexD [2008-05-13 03:22:23 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. It's copics. Dx
You can't erase it, unless you have white ink.

Ahh, I know I know, I just compared both.

oooh~ nice tutorial~! will this work on regular markers as well? cuz that's all i have 'x';;
ohh, and also, doesnt markers make the paper all wet and moist if you put too much of it on one spot, or if you put on more than one color on it? how do you prevent that??
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
StrawberryKing In reply to dynjirr [2008-05-10 18:41:55 +0000 UTC]
Well, I don't think the layering tip would work with regular marker, since Copics are known for that. Dx You can always try though.
Copics absorb really well. It won't get soaked unless you like... pour out the whole ink bottle (which would be such a waste) You should have sturdy paper when coloring with markers. Thin paper would kill it. :\
Again, I'm not sure with other markers. I think Prisma markers bleed like no tomorrow. Dx

alright, i guess it's worth a shot xD; ill tell you if it does tho :3
oh gosh...the whole thing?? that would be a waste >.<; yeah...the colors would just bleed thro if i used thin Dx
