Another shot that I just love of the Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles group that I was a part of at Fan Expo in the summer. I had so much fun working on my Sherry. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I had so much fun Cosplaying with my friends Ammie and Omgom. I love all of our expressions in this photo. Omgom, especially, looks like he's really relaxing. I love that during this shoot I really feel like I look like a kid or at least a young teenager. I'm 25 years old so these shoot photos kind of blow my mind a bit. XDCast:

LOL Thanks! Omgom is a joker. I think the photographer told us to look relaxed while he was taking this photo and Leon ended up looking a little too relaxed. XD

I appreciate the compliment. I'm very happy with how this costume turned out. I had so much fun making it and the photos surprise me with how I look. It's nice to hear from someone that gets people thinking they look younger. Sometimes it's a nice compliment, but sometimes it's a bit embarrassing. XD

I have to agree, this photo is one of my favourites too, although we got so many solid shots. It totally made Fan Expo worth going to even though the con itself was a waste of time.
You're such an awesome Leon that's it great you'll Cosplay him again! I know it bothers you to have your hair so long, but Ammie and I really appreciate it when you get a chance to wear Leon. :3

I still need to get around to uploading these myself. We did, I was very pleased overall. I couldn't agree with you more. I honestly wouldn't have attended (only visited friends) if it hadn't been for you guys convincing me to do this.

Considering the fact Fan Expo's ticket price is nearly $90 next year, I'm pretty much done with attending the con for the full weekend. I might get a day pass next year and go for a day. It's just not worth it. Did you hear about the craziness of DTAC? I'm glad that I didn't go! I heard the con was packed into a small hallway area and security was kicking people out left, right and centre. How horrible! I'm glad we made Fan Expo this year so much fun! Our RE Cosplay shenanigans really made the con very memorable.
We definitely need to do a Resident Evil group again next year or in 2013. :3

FFFFFFFFFF! For real? I don't want to pay $90... yet I have a feeling I might. This is going to put a dampening on cons for me. I was at the craziness for DTAC. I didn't want to pay but ended up getting forced to do so or go. I was with a cosplay group so I sucked it up. The funniest thing was, their only guest was sick and didn't attend. They still charged full price.... Me too, it was a much more enjoyable experience.
Deal. 2013 I will either do bomber jacket or Mafia. I think maybe the Mafia just so I can force you to wear that Pop Star outfit

The cost before service fees if you buy the Fan Expo tickets online is $89. It's so ridiculous how the prices have jumped. I remember when Fan Expo cost $40 back in 2001 and that felt like a lot of money. The price hasn't really changed very much for a lot of years, but now that they added the extra day Hobbystar is just really pushing it. I really can't see myself paying them that kind of money. DTAC was awful from what I heard. Such a terrible way to treat paying customers. I mean really, people paid to be squished into a small space and just to shop since the guest didn't show up.
Sweet! I look forward to seeing your next Leon costume in 2013! I do so love Leon's jacket and Mafia Leon is such a cool alternate outfit. Probably the nicest original alternate outfit for any RE character ever. It's just badass! <3 I think it's only fair that I do Pop Star Ashley in that case. Not sure if I would make it or if I would send another commission Amber's way. XD Either way I'm always up for more RE4 shenanigans! :3

Like double the price for double the suckage? Not really worth it. That one day doesn't make it worth the extra cost, if they added the day and only slightly increased the cost, sure. I say if enough people start boycotting the con, they'll be forced to smarten up. Yup, pretty much. Whatever, I was there for my cosplay group and it got the job done. I wouldn't ever give them my money for that crap again. Shop and hang out in a small space. I think they had like one panel or something.

I was just talking to Amber and it seems like the London crew won't be going to Fan Expo this year. Not sure if it's worth going at all. So sad to see the con fall down like this because the executives are showing their greed. I used to really love Fan Expo.
Excellent. I'll keep it on my Cosplay calendar. :3 Leon's jacket is sweet! Every time I see bomber jackets I keep wanting to get one because it's a cool style. I really like the Mafia look, I guess because I like that era of fashion. I love fedoras so I think Mafia Leon is pretty epic! Some of the alternate outfits are a little wild. I mean, Nurse Rebecca... I would say only the girls are a little weird, but then you see outfits like Barry's Warrior outfit in the Mercenaries 3D and Chris' Heavy Metal outfit from 5 which are pretty bad. XD

It is fun to work at a game company, but it's a really tough industry. iPhone game development isn't very glamorous as it's so hard to make a financially successful app. It's a really glutted market. Having said all that, I do enjoy my job. I don't program or anything like that, but I work on game descriptions, rendering pre-made models for animation and various other elements of game development. I've learned a lot in the last three years. lol I'm single.
Ammie is incredibly talented. She's made all the Sailor fukus that I've worn and my new Rebecca Nurse dress. There really doesn't seem to be anything that she can't do. XD

It's a great aspiration especially if you're interested in developing for the iPhone or other mobile devices. There is a lot of room for indie developers and individuals to get involved with making games; it's just really hard to get noticed. I wouldn't say it's exactly corrupt, but with the number of apps that exist, unless you pay advertising firms to do big campaigns or are lucky enough to get noticed by major game review sites, a new game is likely to fall into obscurity. It's a fun, but a very hard market to really thrive in.
Anyway, I wish you the best of luck with your aspiration! There are lots of studios that are looking to hire new talent so hopefully you'll get a chance to purse your dream. I must say I never expected to get a job like mine and it has been an amazing experience.
Ammie has made some incredible costumes for herself. She made Jill's Battlesuit from RE5 last year and it looks incredible. I believe she's made over 100 costumes and she takes on a lot of commission work. I'm always excited to see what she comes up with next and it's always a blast to Cosplay with her or sport a costume she's made. You should check out her costume gallery . :3
