Description
Of all my Silent Hill costumes, the one that I think turned out the nicest has to be my Lisa costume from the first Silent Hill game. I decided to make this costume because I wanted to Cosplay a nurse, but I didn't really know if I could pull off the makeup or the look for a monster nurse. I found Lisa to be a very beautiful and tragic character so I really felt drawn to Cosplay her.

I made this costume for Katsucon 2009 and the first time that I wore it I had totally confused the proper length of the dress and made it as short as Lisa's dress in Origins. XD I re-did the skirt of the dress (hiding the repair under the belt) for when I re-wore this costume at Anime North 2009. I owe my mom a big thank you for knitting me my red sweater. It's another thing that makes me love this costume. :3

This photo was taken at Polaris last year in the back of a rather Silent Hill-like parking garage. That day I decided to go a little more extreme with the makeup (using red lipstick instead of a more subtle pink). It actually made for a neat connection with the rusty backdrop and the lighting Stillvisions achieved with these photos. I'm surprised this shoot worked out so nicely. I actually got a bad cold that day which got worse as the day wore on. (>.<);;

I've done a few really awesome photoshoots while wearing this costume and I always have a fun experience Cosplaying Lisa (even though the high heels murder my feet). I can never pass up a chance to portray this tragic character.
