This photo is from a Rule of Rose photoshoot with Elemental that I did at Otakon 2009 along with Leesers and Avianna.I made this costume for a RoR group. I never thought that my first sort of antagonist horror costume would be of a character from Rule of Rose. XD This costume came together surprisingly well. Pan helped me with patterning the dress. The brown collar is detached from the dress and does up with a zipper so it's snug on my neck. My favourite costume element is the flowers around the dress. I made a little pattern and cut out each flower from felt and hand sewed them on. It took a while, but the end result was worth it. I loved being part of a Rule of Rose group with some really dear friends. Rule of Rose is a game that needs more Cosplay love. The game could be frustrating, but the story was really intense and interesting to follow. I really enjoyed Cosplaying Eleanor. :3
I bought a birdcage last year so I really need to re-wear this costume some time for a shoot.

Thanks very much! I do have have a bird cage but I only bought it last year after the two photoshoots that I've done in this costume. I'll have to do another shoot eventually with the prop. :3

Thanks! When I was doing the photoshoot with Elemental, Avianna and Lessers we really lucked out with a nice hotel location that just had the right mood for RoR. I had a blast Cosplaying as Eleanor. It was a fun Cosplay experience. :3

I love this costume! I am not familiar with the series, but I really think you nailed the details perfectly. The flowers are my favorite part too, they are so pretty

Thanks! This was a fun costume to put together. I experimented with tea staining the fabric for the dress to give it a bit more of an aged, drab look. Rule of Rose is a neat game to Cosplay from because of the old-timey style of dress for the characters. I liked making the shoe cuffs. It was a fun detail. :3

The game is for the PS2. It was released back in 2006 and was never a major release. I would suggest looking into it for sure. I think the game is right up your ally. :3 The combat system is kind of silly, but the story is really exciting. It might be tough to find, but it's worth playing if you can find it. (^^)
