I should have been writing my essay but I gave up for the night and couldn't sleep... So this happened. -sighs- I feel terrible about it, really.When I get the breed sheet up and running the terms will make more sense. But, for your convenience, I'll summarize:
Full = Homozygous for the Scaled gene (ScSc)
Partial = Heterozygous for the Scaled gene (nSc)
Zone A, B, or C = Area where partial scaling is present (will be explained in the breed sheet)
Base Coat = MUST BE NATURAL. Scales and hair, however, may be any color.
Hooves/Horn = Same color. May only be gray, black, or white.
Eyes = May be any color. Yellow is the most common.
Tiger = Rare mutation that must be homozygous to show (ie: TiTi will show but nTi won't!)
Paint genes = Uncommon in the breed (Only available through breeding/adoption!).
Appaloosa genes = Virtually nonexistent. Painfully rare!
Crossbreeding = For now, unavailable. Tarsu x Tarsu only, please!
Anyway, this is an art auction only meaning, even if you reserve the design you still have to draw it! Points may be offered to auto-buy (100

Oh sorry! Is this clearer? : If we tried and won one of the Tarsus, and that Tarsu had scales, what color would the scales be? Like number 2 has full scales. What color would its scales be?

Actually, the kirins you see there already have their scales.
For instance, number 2's scales are red, with the base coat (Pangare chestnut) showing through on the belly!
Generally speaking, the scales can be any color you want - realistic, or unrealistic.

For our picture, does it have to be a fully rendered picture?
Finals start next week and I am swamped with homework, final projects, and studying. I was wondering if I could do some sketches or pencil drawings that I could color in SAI?
I do plan on doing a full, normal picture of him but I don't know if I have enough free time this specific week.

Psh I love your style honest drawing on the computer isn't hard it's just getting used to the angle otherwise I actually like it better than paper and pencil now cause its easier to erase your mistakes!!

I have a question though...since he has birdcatcher spots and is fully scaled, does that mean that the scales are lighter where the spots would be or the scales just don't cover the areas where the spots are on the fur?
