So... do any of you play Guilty Gear? >u>Guilty Gear is actually a historic interest of mine, I got into it pretty young. I was pumped when Xrd was released but didn't play it at the time. The newest instalment, Strive, is due at the end of the year. And it's given one of my absofaves an extreme makeover!! So now I'm thinking of catching up with one of my fave series'
Faust has a kinda complicated backstory. Actually most things about Guilty Gear are complicated. And really quirky too. Anyway I got inspired by his new gameplay trailer (came out 19JAN) and spammed a bunch of sketches of him. I've wanted to do illust since then. He's been a benevolent and caring - if super oddball - Doctor for most of the games (after the first...), but it looks as if he's undergone mysterious 'character development'?
I'm only putting it online really bcs I want to put it. It is completely out of the blue for most of you haha

Sorry, I... I just can't help but feel sorry for the guy. I mean I don't want to spoiler. I've seen already some gameplays and the Strive trailer with him. Good lord, he didn't deserve all this! Now, please, excuse me.

Yeah... he's pretty tragic alright ono And he's obviously gone through even MORE harrowing experiences between Xrd and Strive. I'm afraid to find out what, to be honest. In fact I'm not sure I'll be able to handle his story in the game at all when it comes out 'XD I'll probably just have a million heart attacks and die lmao ''8D
He's been a favourite of mine in this series in the past and that's just been rekindled, now. Out of... concern. Heh :'3

I love the design, really reminds me of his original crazed version from GG1, back when he was still Dr. Baldhead ^^

This new development is super interesting. To take him into dark territory again after his more light-hearted phase feels like something pretty meaningful to me. Wonder what Ishiwatari is planning

Whoa. That's quite a theory o_o And it's not exactly unusual for Faust to do experiments or experiment on himself. Hmm.
I'm sure a lot of people would be pleased at Zappa's return too haha
