Look, guys, just because a girl is cosplaying and her costume is flashy because THE FREAKING CHARACTER COSTUME IS FLASHY it doesn't mean that you have the right to call her fake geek girl. If the costume bothers you, shout to the artists that designed that costume in the first place. This strip shows another terrible situation (because I couldn't sexualize in a 13-years-old girl, even to prove my point): girls that are new to a fandom, go to conventions to have fun and have to 'prove' that they 'know' the show they are cosplaying/enjoying by answering obscure trivia. Guys, GUYS, TV series, movies, comics and everything else are ENTERTAINMENT. It's not WORK. You don't have to ace a trivia test to be fan of something, you just have to like it. Don't do that stupid thing in real life OR in forums on the internet, PLEASE.
Good thing that Bessie knows how to deal with this kind of person.
(And, by the way, she is pretending that she is there *just* to get Bram. She really likes Doctor Who. Just in case you don't know her backstory with the series and/or doesn't read the previous strip.)
