What happened to me? That's one question I"m still trying to figure out.

I've been gone for 200 years, but not in a way of just going on vacation. I've been gone...trapped within my own body...we all were...

So yeah a little tease for what this is for.

Special shoutout to for the idea of this AU. So anyways, Eggman finally did it...take over the world...roboticized everyone yada yada yada. But, some time after his triumph, Eggman dies due to an accident and leaves everyone trapped inside their bodies for the next 200 years with seemingly no hope to take control of themselves as Eggman's programming constantly updates, keeping them sealed behind firewalls. However, 50 years prior to the 200 year mark, Stryke manages to escape from his programming for a brief period of time (Eggman's programming forces them to shut down and go into stasis lock if such an event occurs after a short period of time.). Stryke manages to connect himself to one of the server ports to the Eggnet and sends his consciousness into cyberspace to start planning a way to free himself and his friends. When the 200 year mark hits, he finally succeeds by freeing Lindsey from her programming, thus allowing her to find him and his old body waiting in secret. The pair work together to fix a machine that allows them to not only remove the programming from their bodies, but also upgrade them into sleeker, more advanced forms. Eventually Lindsey finds what is required and she and Stryke are the first to be upgraded, and set out to save not only their friends and family, but the world itself. However due to Earth being heavily polluted and left unihabitable for organic life, they fear they may never see their organic selves again in this lifetime.

As normal, Mecha Lindsey, now going as Lin-Z, has a power increase in her abilities as well as powers granted to her by her Elemental of Water. Her body is equipped to be made with aquatics in mind such as the thrusters on her back and legs. Lin's arms house a set of water cannons that she uses to fire large torrents of water at her enemies. Also her signature liquification ability has been replaced with the ability to go Liquid Metal (T-1000 stuff).

Along with her powers, Lin-Z has a few features similar to a normal monkey like her feet now are similar to her species allowing her to climb with ease as well as use as extra hands. Her most distinct feature however is her new Holo face that allows her to emote and show expressions as well as stats, X-rays, and weak points on her enemies.

I hope to show more of this AU later on, as I don't really do many AU's these days (other than the what if's with the Egg Bosses). Anyways hope you guys enjoy and also here's a flat for reference:
