The KJ-15 Adler is a twin engine, all-weather, fighter jet based on the McDouglas F-15C Eagle and F/A-15E Strike Eagle, the Adler is produced under license by the Wulf-Achgelis AG. Listania is the second largest operator of the Eagle series outside of the North Ermerican Union beside the Fuji Republic, two main variants were produced by the Wulf-Achgelis such as the KJ-15C and KJ-15E.
In the Early 80s, the Ministry of Defense requested for a replacement to its obsolete MiG-21 and MiG-17 fighter jets, several candidates were considered, among them were the F-15 Eagle, F/A-18 Hornet, F-14 Tomcat, Mirage 2000, and the Tornado. in 1985, the MoD announced the winner, the F-15 Eagle was chosen for the Air Defense Force and the F/A-18 Hornet was chosen for the Maritime Defense Force. After several months of disagreement, the NEU finally approved the F-15 Eagle and the F/A-18 Hornet to be manufactured locally by the Wulf-Achgelis AG.
The agreement however, came with a caveat, information regarding Electronic Warfare equipment were withheld and thus they must be exported from the NEU. The locally produced F-15 Eagle was designated Kampfjet-15 and nicknamed Adler, the Adler made its maiden flight in 1986 and would be introduced to the Air Defense Force service in 1990.
Two main variants were produced, the KJ-15C air superiority fighter and the KJ-15E multirole strike fighter, the Air Defense Force initially acquired 150 KJ-15C and 25 KJ-15E in 1990 and would later acquire 30 KJ-15EM in 2013.
All KJ-15 within the Air Defense Force's service would later be upgraded to M2 standard in 2015 which added another pair of hardpoints on the wings, better and more efficient engine with higher thrust, latest Fly-By-Wire and glass cockpit technology, better RADAR, and more advanced Electronic Warfare suite and Fire-Control-System.
This is literally based on the McDonnel-Douglas F-15 Eagle.
This has been sitting in my sta.sh for a month and should've been uploaded last month... I completely forgot about it lmao.
