Description
Shimmy means move btwI just wanted people to see an easier way, because I know a lot of people who don't know how to do this so.
So she's wearing pretty lingerie, leave her alone.

There's an easier way in the newer versions pmd editor. In PMDe 139, I discovered an option called "selected alone (none reference plane) vertices (labeled F under the Vertices (V) menu under edit in the main window). It selects all the spare vertices for you so you can then delete them without having to move the model around.

Although as a warning, I just noticed that this only actually works with pmx models. XD;

Yes someone here will finally get the engl PMD editor for a Tuto! Can you make more? Missing eye - color - or mother bone change for move? Etc.. I think that you would be grateful to many users. I have this Pic loaded thank you for this!

this is really helpful. Although my models don't crash if I leave those vertices alone, it just bothers me to see those in PMDEditor. What confuses me is where they come from.

I don't see Β a point of remaking my tutorial about deleting invisible vertices, though < n >

im not saying you should, it's just that for some people the way you do it doesn't work for them. i-i'm not saying your's is bad! i just wanted to show people that there was another way of doing it...

But it's basically the same, just in English pmd editor. Also, sometimes selecting the vertices then doing undo might 'corrupt' the vertices that were selected, either diselect some of them or select more that you weren't going to delete. Just saying u_u

i-i'm really sorry if i upset you, i honestly didn't realise it was the same...i just thought this way might be more simple for someone just starting with pmdeditor, plus it was the way i've done it for the past three years...
i wasn't aware that it would corrupt any vertices at all! i don't know, i've just encountered a lot of people who were having trouble with this so i wanted to help them. i swear i didn't copy or anything! aaah i'm sorry!
i'll take it down if you'd like
i'm really sorry

N-naah, I'm not such a bitch to tell you to remove this. I might have overreacted a little, because I already experienced the same situation a few times before ;;' uh. Please don't feel bad.

Hehe sorry, I'm not the smartest person in the world! It's alright, you didn't overreact, I understand. I mean, the same thing has happened to me before, I just don't have the balls to say anything about it...
Yeah, I just thought I'd give people an ulterior perspective on how to do it, ya know?
I don't know...

What happens, if I leave the spare vertices? Will the model don't work?

pmdeditor can only hold a certain ammount of vertices, so if you put say, glasses on your model and you've breached that point it'll look something like thisΒ www.deviantart.com/art/Help-41β¦
so it's always good to delete those spare ones

It usually just takes up more space, but I think there might be shadow issues as well...I haven't experienced that last part yet so I can't confirm it :s
