i spent more time trying to photograph this, than the actual modelling itself!the black granite slab is the cutaway portion of a washbasin, and i thought it'd make a great background for the clay model. but since i don't have professional photographer's equipment like diffused and reflected lights, i couldn't avoid the reflections (the open door and window). sorry!

haha, actually this happened all by itself, jocelyne! i didn't have to do much. clay is a surprisingly easy medium, and takes its own shape. since you love nature so much, i'd recommend you give it a try. i'm sure you'll find the experience beautiful!
