This is just depressing.
Makes you wonder if the people who want to require a breathalizer test before you can start your car might be right.
This is why you need to wear your safety gear!
The other sad thing is this poor idiot has devastated both his family and someone else's and he might not have had he been caught earlier.
I saw an ad that had a cool idea about how to stop drunk driving. The bar bouncer, party host, etc, confiscates everyone's car keys as they come in.

bastard. some people in this world are to fuckin stupid. the guy should al least get 30 to life and posibly the chair. 'corse i don't know what they do where this happened but knowing the world today the asshole will probably get off with 15 years or such.

6 of my friends and classmates (we're a very tight bunch because our school only has 250 people from pre-k to 12th grade) were killed in a span of 11 months in 09 because of alcohol so this picture really hits home.(The year anniversaries of my friends' deaths start on February 14th oddly enough.)
It's a wonderfully captured shot though reflecting all the horrible things that did happen/could happen. Thank you for sharing.

I know it's an awful situation, but with that being said...
I've run boom lifts (sometimes called cherry pickers, as high as 100') and the first thing, even before stepping into it, to do is put on the safety harness with a shock absorbing line.

If the cable guy was wearing it and got knocked out of the bucket, one of two things would have happened.
He'd be shown on Americas Funniest Home Videos or shown on as instructional film with a teacher saying "See? This is why you wear these things."

Yes, I agree there too...though it must be hard to tell if some people have had too much? I don't know...I think of myself when I'm drunk...I'm not loud and obnoxious or cause trouble. I can still walk a straight line and say my alphabet...would be pretty hard to tell if I were drunk in a room/club/bar full of people. No way would I get behind the wheel of a car. I think everyone needs to take responsibility for themselves and stop blaming others.
