I love the perspective of this! The ropes and the angling, defiantly give this a playful feel to the whole piece!

I think the perspective is great, and all the climbing stuff gives a really nice unusual effect.
I think though, this would look awesome in black and white, contrasted, so all the frames are like black etc.
cool

Low-class-deviant critique, bby.
the BEAUTY in symmetry by *SublimeBudd , while not being an immediately eye-catching photo, is a cute and pleasant to look at one, showing that our friendly fellow is a creative photographer, even in casuality.
The focus is nice, with a classic, distaint pespective take, making you go between admiring the detail yet somehow retained in the ropes closest to the camera, and admiring our lovely centerpiece, *SublimeBudd 's fellow photog and wife of a year now *NettieR , as well as her surroundings.
Those surroundings are well-focused upon as well, seen as the importaint part of the shot that they are, without too much going on with them, which, even in real life can be hard to deal with, when it comes to woodchip playground paving. In personal exsperiance of being someone who spends a lot of time focusing on the details of something never intended for the details to be the focal point of, and being someone to dislike something for the matter, woodchips in such large areas can even hurt my eyes in the right light.
Too much going on.
But here, the non-focal, focal poinancy of the ground, the background, does this picture a good third of the justice it has.
The next third, we go back to our secondary, [generally] first-noticed focal point, the roped jungle gym.
Most people, on an objective basis, I'd assume would pay fairly the most attention to this part of the shot, considering our dear *NettieR , though very pretty and very importaint in this shot, not being in the middle of a photoshoot. This part of the shot is both where fault and perfection is found in the shot.
Out right, this is exspertly done, and very nice to look at. The geometrics you can see in the hexigons to the sides and pentigons in the center is very pleasing, and obviously the reason for the title of the shot. Though, being a crazy literal/detail stickler as I am [girl who complained about bloody playground woodchips], it didn't take much for me to notice the slight off-centeredness of the shot.
Realistically, this is a very small thing to even be bothered about, very OCD, but it is the only real fault about a shot that was not a matter of perfection or studio, but an of-the-moment, "memory" shot. It really is a wonderful shot, for such areas it's in.
This also brings us to the last third that makes up the overall pleasing photo. Out lovely 'model', and the 'aura', as I'll call it, of the picture.
I'd best adress the aura first, so we can look upon said 'model' with a fair eye.
This picture is overall, pretty nice. Not bad at all, and of course, with backstory, it makes a very nice "memory" picture, which with the wonders of DA, other people can enjoy too.
But that's also exsactly why this picture could be picked apart by a more "professional" someone with an attitude to do such things.
It's not "professional", but that's why we like it as well. It's modern rustic, and though not especially dazzling, or incredibly eye-catching, it's an enjoyable little snapshot from our pals *SublimeBudd & *NettieR 's life together, showing thier friendship, and relationship. For a small degree of it's worth, the story behind said picture is a "bit too much" what the pictures "professional worth" is reliant on.
But that's alright. We've seen our pals' work, and they're professional.
This is just a well-done, fun snapshot, like I said.
And lastly, to round out my exstreme-mode low-class-critique, our lovely miss *NettieR .
With the aura in count, our model is perfect in our shot. A snapshot of thier life, almost perfectly tv-show-esque, her beautiful smile, her casual wear, and the obvious genuine look on her face, an impossible-to-recreate way of marking this photo with the memory of the first year of thier definitly long life together set in stone, mourned for it's loss but admired in memories forever, and assuming they are to have children, one could almost see *SublimeBudd holding this shot, telling such storys as the one behind this one to those children.
It's a "wonderfully mudane", classic, relatable shot.
Well done, and from me, here, hopefully well-interpreted.
Nice work, both you.
It's nice to see great photographers getting up in notority on DA, while still being very sociable and true-to-life.
Keep it up.
Much love.

Heheh, yes, yes.
It's just a thanks for exsactly what I pointed out in the last part.
"It's nice to see great photographers getting up in notority on DA, while still being very sociable and true-to-life."
Youse are just very courtious and approachable here.
It's refreshing.
Too many Deviants are ignorant, or really wrapped up in thier miniture fame...
It's good to see those like you two here.
And of course, next I have a critique in me and you have something new up, you'll be hearing it.
I'm just so full of words...

I've critique'd before, but never so long!
I apologiese!
Jeeze!
I knew I was discriptive, but... eeeep!
...Well, I never did critique on a peice where I was as relatively familiar with the photog as I am in this case.
...Uhm... it's long as my admiration for youse?
Ahahaha, aha, Idunno.
