Great tutorial! You seem to have a knack for this stuff. How do you colour so precisely when the tools (for me, as a beginner) are fairly tedious and difficult to manipulate? Any tips? How long would something like that take you?
Props!

if i create a new layer and change it to "color" i cant get this green as you have on the picture at step 2... all colours (included the green from the tut) are much brighter with th "color" option...
heres a sample:

I was just about to ask you how you did your eyes, and then I realized that you might have a tutorial already, and came and found this.
It's incredibly easy! I was so surprised. Your eyes look amazing, and I'm constantly amazed by your photocomposites. I've been trying for years to get them to look good, and you say that the few you've posted are your first? I can't even tell that they're composites most of the time, and I pride myself on being an amateur professional art critic.

Interesting! Why did you take an orange picture of your eye? Was that to provide a foundation color to work with?

Thanks
It just happened to be how it turned out when the photo was taken, the lighting was artificial.

What type of layer do you use for the color layers?
Overlay, Lighten, Multiply....what?
And are all of the colors meant to be on one layer or seperate ones?
Thanks!

this is a great exercise for students to learn some uses of basic tools that they wouldn't automatically go to in the program, would you mind if I used your tutorial with my students, and of course I will fully credit your creation... let me know!
Thanks!
