This reminds me of an old, famous Norwegian painting of a traveller looking at the road ahead and a golden castle in the sky. That picture is said to symbolise trying to reach an impossible goal. I get some of the same feeling from this, but this person is longing for a childhood memory that just isn't the same anymore. I can recognise myself so much in this.
