"HUM, IT IS STRIDER HIRYU. HE WILL NEVER LEAVE EURASIA ALIVE!"For today's lockdown line art exercise I chose my favourite videogame character of all time: Capcom's Strider Hiryu. Star of three hack n slash platform games and a regular in the Marvel vs Capcom series among others. This is based on a piece of art for MvC by legendary Capcom artist, Bengus.

I saw an interview with the game designer once. He went up to the roof of Capcom to brainstorm and locked himself out. It was below freezing and he had to climb down the outside of the building to get back in. He admits to being terrified at climbing down icy fire escapes and wondered what kind of person would willingly do this. And the concept for the Strider game was born!
