Thanks for the comment. Others have commented on the resemblance to Anne Rice's Claudia the child vampire. Not something I was aiming for but welcomed anyway!

Yup - this young love is charming and heartwarming - while the blood lasts anyway.

There just something very uneasing about little children vampires. Awesome work to say the least, you have managed to create an incredible piece with great fear pouring from every part of it. Great work indeed

Thanks for the comment and complements. Quite humbling!
The kiddie vampire thing seems to resonate with lots of people. However most parents may get to see their once darling little babies turning into the blood and soul sucking parasites also known as teenagers! Only kidding - I've got six wonderfully complex nieces and nephews in their teens. Only one has shown any vampiric tendencies - well ok he's got long hair, mainly dressed in black and not often seen in daylight.

your very welcome.
lol, there are many like that in this area, only they are seen during the day because all the chavs are out at night beating people up and holding up local open all hour shops

You don't happen to live in SE London do you - cos it's like that here. I always think it's the "normals" ie chavs that are the most impossible little gits to deal with. Geez, I sound like I belong on that "Grumpy old men" programme.
Most of the local goth / death metal / grunge / kookie type kids look scary (to some people) but have a great attitude - when they are not fiddling with ipods or staring at the floor mumbling! My nephew does work in a nightclub till 2.00am at weekends so I guess he's got to sleep sometime!

Leeds, West Yorkshire.
They are everywhere, i have only ever come across two which are actually good people. I despise them a great deal because of their attitude towards people, the fact that they'd like to deal drugs and steal more than get a real job and the fact that one took the life of one of my mates in 2004. Im may only be 22, but when it comes to them il join the grump train
Most the people in my area are emo or goth, i can never really tell the difference.

I've never been to Leeds. nearest I've been is Bradford for a friend's Sikh Wedding and I've some friends who live just outside York - lovely part of the world.
There are scumbags in every walk of life who prey on those more law abiding souls. I don't think youth or inexperience is any excuse for bad behaviour towards others - it's just a total lack of respect. My sincere condolences on the loss of your friend.

I really like this one the only thing I would suggest is using more lighting to really play off the features so their faces take on more of a 3dimensional look

I always seem to overdarken so played around a bit - and re edited it. Not sure it's quite what you meant though - I quite like the light on the plaything. Let me know if you can spot any improvement.

Her PlayThing seems to be smiling, at least, I might even dare to say he's in extasy.. but he's a mere toy, how could he enjoy anything?
Made me think of lovely Claudia..

We all embue feelings to our playthings when young - think Toy Story! Teaches empathy and caring for others.
I remember the toy I got when I was 3 years old - a Teddy Bear lovingly made from razor wire and six inch nails.
