When Jo was a freshman she didn't really have any friends- she was already 5'11"' and her scars were even more prominent because they were only a year and a half old. So no good friends until she literally runs over Kirei one day, who proceeds to scream at Jo haha. But all Jo can think of when she sees her is 'oh damn she's attractive'

A few minutes after Jo tries to apologize some sophomores mke fun of Jo and Kirei tries to attack them, Jo holds her back and their friendship blossoms from there haha

(Kirei has no tattoos and different hair because it's three years in the past)
