Legend of Zelda has and will be my favorite video game series ever. And OOT has always been my favorite game; gone through it so many times I can't count XDD
The Metroid series is great as well; especially the Prime games. Can't really pick a fave of them as all 3 of them are awesome XDD

I love 'em but sometimes I wish the controls were a little more similar to Halo's with the two-stick controls whenever I replay it

I unfortunately haven't beaten Majora's Mask yet. My N64 decided to die on me so Imma eventually get my friend's 64 so I can beat it. lol Not to mention I pretty much have every different version of OOT XDD
The controls didn't bother me all that much for them though I can definitely see what you're getting at. You're a Halo fan as well? That and Fable were the reasons I got a 360 ^^

They didn't bother me the first playthrough, but when I got into Halo and Mass Effect and then went back to prime.. it was a little odd haha. And I do! Halo was my first shooter. Mass Effect is still probably my all-time favorite series though (after Star Fox)

Yeah I was definitely bummed out when it stopped working on us.
Well I can adjust XDD Even after playing Halo and all that I still don't mind the controls for them. My first shooter was actually Perfect Dark back on the N64; that was the game where me and the relatives got together and messed around lol Mass Effect is pretty good as well, but no matter what to me I really can't find anything that I like better than Zelda XDD
O_O I LOVE FABLE!!! My brother convinced me to play the first one and I instantly fell in love with the series!!! You should definitely try it if you can ^^
