I really like this shot. And I don't know exactly why. Maybe it's the yellow part, maybe it's because of the textures of the ground.

well it's yours, so obviously the textures are amazing. you really make me want to post my photos so much better.
i love the vibrant yellow in this one. the lines are all very random but work well. i think i would've cropped the top a bit as that is pretty much the only dead space in the photo. i think it would balance the image off a little better and make it more of a whole. hard to describe my reasoning..

uhm... is it so random? I see a definite convergence of lines -from the right, top and bottom, like two waves. then the 'grid' on the left is like the symmetric 'opposite counterpart' of the yellow thing, and the two shadows-lines recall the direction of the rails (kinda continued by that dark part of the road) -the 'dark frame' of the rails is like the second half of the photo, dark vs. light, if I cropped it the composition would 'suffocate' I think -as you noticed the rails are not in the middle so there's enough room to 'breathe'. my view of course
