This is fun working without a reference. Yeah I know I have a problem with too much contrast but eh, Its fun lol.I have to thank everyone for the anatomy corrections - they were just great! I am debating keeping the paint markings, i love paint horses and its hard to spend time on a random drawing and not put them in lol.

The head puts me in mind of a dragon for some reason... I think it's the eye... and the general shape of the head... or maybe the position of the ears and no mane... possibly! Can't quite put my finger on it, but either way, I love it! Looking forward to seeing this one finished

I always find my favorite dragons have horse shaped heads, so I know what you mean. With the mane it looks less dragon like... but oh well.

It does look less dragon like, although the colouring of the eye still reminds me of a dragon... I love the detail, and the gleam on the coat, and the colouring, and the pose... I really am jealous of your digital skills!

Its incredible how fast you can work with you paintings, its really coming great, the only thing I have a problem with is the position of the eye, which is too set back. But I know this is for fun, so enjoy

I love your process of roughly laying down the color first then refining it later. I wish I used that technique, I usually do it little section by section. But your technique seems like the outcome is better.
Anyways, lovely work so far! It'll be awesome to see it when it's done!
