I am happy with the wa this turned out. It is reference from a picture I took myself of my dad's gelding(who is a very red bay) It is a commission for someone who asked for a grullo runnng hrough snow.Actully looking at it again the backgroud needs more contrast to match with the horse.

I find tutorials online almost impossible for the way I work. I do not use any tool other than an airbrush and vary the opacity and size depending on how much color I want where. I use zoom to get the detail I do. No secrets really anyone can do it, it just takes time and observations(and a pen and tablet lol). I have been drawing for over 30 years. Really I should be much better than I am but life gets in the way of practice.
