Description Clint Eastwood inspired 1/4 Scale Wolverine.  I've always thought of Clint's personality and look when I read the Wolverine comics from the 80s and 90s.  It seems after some research I wasn't wrong in thinking that.  Check it!

Wolverine + Clint "B.A." Eastwood?
Great idea!

Are you familiar with the anime series "Lupin the 3rd"?
I have always thought Eastwood would have been perfect as Jigen.

There's a whole back story about it.  Comic writers and artists were heavily influenced by Clints persona in movies.  No, I've never seen lupin the 3rd.  I'll have to check that! Thanks!

Everything about this is perfect. The proportions, the Eastwood inspiration, it's all designed after my own heart. This is how I wish they would make a 1/12 scale action figure.

I'm tempted to add "hot", but I've never felt that way about a sculpture before.

haha then that's an even greater compliment!  Still a good bit to do...then you'll have to come up with a new word to describe it. lol

Looking forward to it. Any chance of seeing it in colour, even if only digital?

Maybe when I get further along with it.  The hands and feet are too far from being finished for me to invest time in coloring it just yet.

You certainly have an eye (and hands) for detail.

now THAT is a Wolverine!! Neat sculpt there Chris and like the pose. Would be cool to see an alternate left hand displaying 'Middle Claw!! '  complete with Stogie.

lol Thanks Tim.  I guess I could always remove the other two claws.  Still a lot to do in terms of detailing.  I've got to do a good bit of work on the feet and hands.  They are just there at the moment.  I sent it for approval on sf almost two days ago now with more WIP progress shots.  The forum is pretty dead compared to what it was in the past, so I don't know why it takes so long to approve a thread...but whatevs.

I find most forums a bit flat these days, a def' lack of the Old Pros who could give you pointers imo. But it's cool to post and see what folks think, if anything. Guess my stuff is still vanilla/meh but yours gets folks interested. Certainly one of the nicest Wolvies I have seen for a while Chris.

I don't know how you get the sculpey so nice. I am done with polyclay for now, my lil Cap sculpt is just falling apart; i'll have to mold him to save him. Shame, I'd love to get sculpey as smooth as you do.  I have one last batch to use up and it is Mark VT's mixture of super sculpey and premo.  The few tests I have done went ok.

I got some CX5S en route and a back iron from Tru-Form so lookin forward to playing with it.

Well thanks man, but this was made out of monster clay and the head is ralphs wax that i transferred from castilene.  However, how I get sculpey smooth is mostly by lightly dragging my finger across it until theres a slight shine and then some 90% rubbing alcohol.  When it's baked I use two sanding pads or have been lately.  There's some polishing pads you can buy at most hardware stores that do wonders with the shine without a whole lot of work.

oh wow, I would never have guessed Chris. Did you mod the color or is this ps'd to make it look grey?

Yeah I smooth with a finger and it looks nice till it bakes then it looks not so good. I got some sanding pads, fine and superfine but I find sculpey doesn't sand as well as epoxy so maybe I need to use a medium pad then the others. If I could crack it as a material, it would be a cheap way o have ooak figures.

Otherwise I will save up and maybe get something printed or a mold and copy made of an oil clay or wax piece once a year.

Never tried Ralphs wax yet.....

I just used the monochrome option on my camera and yeah, try a medium 3m pad and then get some of those polishing pads from your hardware store.  It's just a fine fiber material in the shape of a pad.  They are like 2 dollars.
