Random GOI team up: the burning shit down team.

I'm seriously considering drawing this theme, of GOIs that have nothing to do with each other being paired up because some strange similarity between them. Like Double Foundation, Double Eagle(AR and UIU) and stuffs.

But first I have to finish my Sarkic Family drawing and SH's design concepts. Why do I choose to make my semi-realistic style more realistic (and time-consuming) ?

(the perfect team)

Yessssss, draw them! I sorta wanted to keep teaming up peoples, but laziness and the lack of time I have compels me in the opposite direction. I seriously am going to continue drawing GOIs, tho. The concepts are flippin' amazing.

YOU CHOSE THE STYLE because it reflects your personality. Every artist's style represents a little bit of their mindset, morality, etc. I have a cartoonish/chibi style because, well, I'm a very childish person. Who draws dark things. You have a realistic style because you take things a bit more seriously and you can really focus on logic. I think. I dunno, really.

(The weirdest pair I come out with is Maxwellism and Hunter's Black Lodge. 'Cause they are both oddballs inside their religion-Maxwellism being the only one who worshipped computers and Wifi in CotBG family, and Black Lodge neither empathize on blood and heritage like Neo-Sarkic nor respect Ion and his disciples like Proto-Sarkic. This anomalous Russian gangster ain't following no one's rule! )

I'm starting high school life and I always squeeze out time to draw instead of socializing or joining clubs.  That is what I'm comfortable with, but schools still have their works, y' know. I will continue to pair up groups, and I want to see your amazing headcanons too!

That's true. I used to be so picky with details, because I fear if I don't get everything correct in the first steps, the whole thing will be ruined. Which caused me to ignore the drawing as a whole, and came out with lots of great details, but a twisted overall view. My art teacher snapped me out of this, but the fear still lingers around a little bit. And nope, cartoon is not childish, because it is about simplifying and exaggerating right traits, something that I always have trouble doing. I admire people who can get cartoonish shape well at first try.

(My lord. That is perfect. The strangest team up I can imagine is Herman Fuller's Circus of the Disquieting and Doctor Wondertainment. Because both entertain. And act strange.)

PFFF, who needs socializing or clubbing? Drawing/writing/reading is the best! If only those pesky friends stopped getting in the way...
School is school. School is for learning. School is for torturing. Have you ever gotten a packet of work on the second day of school? For homework? I have. It's terrible.
When pairing isn't shipping-

Eh, I've never exactly worried about the base. After all, our bases are all flawed in some way. The only thing that you need to do is make sure that the flaws look good. For example, due to my lack of shading, most of my drawings look bland and flat. That's why I add tiny patterns in the corners or the curves. It's a flaw turned to my advantage.
Unfortunately, you have an art style that requires perfect bases. However, you are really great at drawing bases, so all you need to do is make sure that the things you want to stand out, well, stand out.

(THIS IDEA IS GREAT. And I think that AR and Prometheus Lab are also quite similar in terms of developing anomalous technology for sell. It is just that AR only focus on robotics and computers, while PL wanted to develop a lot of things at once. Which led to them making flawed products. Which led to them being careless and fast in procedures. And finally blow themselves up. AR also comes out with some not-so-quality product, Gyrfalcon, under MC&D's pressure. DON'T FORCE THE NERDS, THEY ARE FRAGILE YOU KNOW.)

Exactly. My parents and teachers used to push me to do so all the times, before I found out that I'm simply introverted, and socializing take energy away from me. But people around me are nice and friendly, and that's the only thing I need to have a good time in crowds.

.......It looks like our school is pretty lenient. Only an essay and twenty pages of math in the holiday, and the homework I received so much is moderate. I'm kind of glad that I'm not in my native country anymore, since students of my age received TONS of work back there. They are preparing for the middle-school leaving examination this year, which is probably the second biggest test in our study career. People get their non-academic life wrecked by those exams, and quite a number of artists on forums had stopped updating now.

Not every relationship in fanworks have to be romantic ships. Sometimes it is just drawing two person together doing goofy or weird things, and I found that much better than, well, sappy lovey-dovey romance between two characters who barely know each other.

That's really what I learned. I used to struggle about keeping the basic guide lines COMPLETELY straight and shapes COMPLETELY accurate, before my teacher just went and said, "Draw whatever you feel like at the start, as long as it is simple and give you a brief idea of what you are drawing. You can make it accurate later."  And I like those patterns! It is more like a flaw in general cartoon style turned into an unique individual style.

But still, I like my drawings to be close to reality, even if I cannot be as pro as people who can draw real-life human beings down to the very last details. It really stays with my sketch-based art education, and as someone who stumbled and fail miserably at anime human drawing several years ago, I'll have to say that drawing close to reality first help one to twist things into their own style.
