Probably one of the best photos I have seen on dA yet
I love how the leaf still goes into the gray street a bit. Two thumbs up for this!

Simple, yet clean & fresh. The leaf is very well highlighted by the darker yellow paint, & even more with the blue, making it more noticeable & effective.
You're probably bored with this, but great job!

Very cool. I see the man made artificiality coming together with the beauty of nature.... maybe I'm overanalyzing
but it's great

Wonderful; I love how subtle this is at first glance, and how beautiful it becomes when you look closer.

Really cool with the yellow leave on the yellow stripe, is that arranged or did you find it that way?

I hate doing this, but I thought you should know. I came across this piece [link] and realized it was submitted one day after yours. I know it's not the same exact piece, but the deviant could have given you some credit, right?

nah.. everything's been done before! i wouldn't want to credit whoever made the first portrait just because i make one too. it's cool that there are two similar photos out there. thanks for looking out for me though!

This one is simply stunning. The competing yellows of leaf and line, the contrast, the focus. And I like how the diagonal splits the frame but not from corner to corner. Absolutely wonderful piece!

now this is something that my eyes really needed...
the contrast between colours (but between materials and textures too) is nothing less than superb.
I keep on returning and watch it... this shot made my return even more beautiful

I don't even know where to begin on this kev, this is by far my fav piece from you. The simplicity of it I think really adds emphasis to the colours and the focus if that makes any sense, there's so little going on you can't help but be drawn in by the leaf and so sharp! have to ask though how much post processing or at least what kind?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
superkev In reply to ArsenicAddiction [2006-11-22 21:47:47 +0000 UTC]
no real post processing on this one. it was processed from RAW with boosted contrast and saturation. otherwise it's as shot. thanks!

This is a perfect display of contrast in colours, and especially of the textures. I love looking at your views on the world through your photo's. I always have a simple joy at looking at your works for their beauty but then also deeper because of all the though that goes into it that I also see.
Such a small thing to notice this photograph, but one that is definately pleasing if taken with the right perspective and perception in life.

It didn't seem like much from the thumbnail, though I got the concept and all. I should have known better. On full view I really GOT the concept. The water drops really do add a lot to the image. A good continuation of texture from the bumpy asphalt. as always, your images make me think and feel.
