Description
For this challenge I used some rubble to put together some small bricked structures. I use fragments of pillars to create the towers. Four towers, connected by walls guard the inner keep, which is round and has a top and spire. The spire itself is made out of an arrow, which has been wedged into the top. Atop the spire is a bright green gemstone which shines brightly in the light. Similar gems can be found scattered across the outer walls as well to serve as decoration. The windows were created by using pointed arrowheads to carve chunks out of the rocks, given that the ruins are relatively old and worn, the rocks were somewhat easy to break with this method and so it worked quite effectively. I used the same method to carve precise shapes out of pieces of rubble and debris. The arrow holes on the towers were created by shoving the arrow head into the rock repeatedly to create small, thin holes.
The final touch on my castle is the drawbridge which would be used to enter the castle keep. Using some of the only remaining living grass in the area, I tied the bits together to create long ropes of grass. I fed these through holes on the outer walls. I then found a long flat slab of rock and poked two tiny holes in the top corners using arrows, I then once again fed the grass through these holes and tied the end pieces so that they could not fall back out. With this method I had successfully fastened the drawbridge together and it could be used without issue. If you put your hand behind the outer walls, you can easily grab the grass ropes and pull them in order to lift the drawbridge up and then let go in order to drop it again.
Outside the castle I used arrows stuck into the ground in order to create a fence.
Thank you.
