"The user fires a glob of crimson sludge at the opponent. Doubles the effect of poison damage if hit by this move."
(Note: If the opponent hit by this move is poisoned or badly poisoned, the amount of damage taken from poison will be doubled until the end of the battle)

Battle Specs: In terms of stats, Spectriac sports a HUGE HP stat, decently high special stats, and decidedly average in all other stats. It's nothing amazing, but its abilities certainly help to give it some traction: Regenerator to restore health when switching, Pressure for draining a foe's PP, and the ever-reliable Intimidate as its hidden ability.

But what Spectriac really excels in is playing the long, slow, and painful game, mainly through a myriad of status ailments...with poison being its specialty. Toxic, Recover, Curse, Giga Drain, Venoshock, Hex, Heal Block, Venom Drench, and Destiny Bond all makes for very potent tools in its arsenal, while also sporting some more damage-orientated moves such as Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Sludge Wave, Psychic, and Gunk Shot. It's signature bread and butter, however, it Blood Shot, which, when hit by this move, will DOUBLE the effects of poison damage for the duration of the battle, which makes getting poisoned incredibly more dangerous.

Simply put, you do NOT want to get caught playing the long game with a Spectraic. It's specialized play-style will make sure your demise is slow and painful if you do. The one downside to it is that Spectriac isn't exactly all that speedy, and while its HP count is high, it's defensive stats are just...passable, meaning hitting it hard and fast enough will more than likely put it down without too much fuss.

Artist's Notes: Continuing the month of spoops, we have one of the very, VERY few designs from the OG dex that managed to withstand the test of time, so it received very little changes to its design overall as result. Just some overall cleaning up and a touch of streamlining. Heck, most of the work came down to re-writing its "lore" and re-working its battle style a bit. So congrats, Spectriac, you've received your veteran's medal of honor!
