Hum, yeah. A crappy idea I got while playing Path of Radiance. There's that chapter where you can re-recruit Shinon by talking to him with Rolf, then finish him with Ike. The only problem with that is that Shinon is an enemy on that map, so when I try to make him "approach" my team, he can end up killing one of my members (which happened to poor Devdan
). I usually use Oscar to get into Shinon's killing range since he kicks ass so much in this game and not only he's a killer, but he's a tank (so Shinon always does 0 damage to him. Mouhahaha)!Anyway, that scene is supposed to explain that Shinon is the one who taught Rolf archery, and it's supposed to be a secret (I guess Shinon probably doesn't want to show people that he likes kids
). But how can this be a secret if I always surround Shinon with that much characters hanging around him (so that way he can't kill anyone. Sucks to have archers stuck with a range of 2, and not at least 1-2 like mages)? Fire Emblem physic, I guess...I always thought Oscar already knows that Shinon is Rolf's teacher because it's kinda obvious, but Boyd still doesn't know. Anyone thinks the same? ^_^
Yeah that's Ike behind Shinon. And I had to draw Kieran because he's made of too much awesomeness. Yeah and I made Shinon looks kinda soft... well... I guess deep inside him he's a softie
And I was too lazy to make a bg. Or to add super details. So it's crappy.

Haha! I got Zihark killed there few times too, since you have to recruit him around that house.
If you play Normal or Easy mode, just don't get into the BK's range and he won't move

Zihark actually killed Oscar!!!! Nd then i turned it off, and then he nearly killed Ike with his critical!!!! Nd then i was just gonna give up on him... then i got Mordecai to talk to him, nd now he's on my team! Hallah!! Nd then i killed Jill... I didnt know how to recruit her...

Yeah but this happens during PoR, when Ike still has no clue that Shinon is Rolf's teacher (though I find it funny that he still don't know about this until Aimee told him in RD

Humm you could always try this online. Personally, I found the game in a flea market, though it was at full price for a used game. I guess I can be considered lucky as RPGs and all that kind of similar games aren't very popular where I live, lol.

XD Cute. I actually had that sort of thing going on. I was still TRAINING Rolf--he wasn't his awesome defensy self yet. So I had to have Boyd and Ike two steps in front of him at all times. lolol I was like "I wonder how big these squares actually are?

Last time I played PoR I made Gatrie getting into Shinon's range to see what they were talking. Shinon attacked 4 times not doing any damage and Gatrie even dodged the last attack xDDD
Shinon is more awesome in RD I guess. xD

This PoR playthrough is the only one in which I've used Rolf, who makes a better Marksman in RD?

Well depends. In term of utility, you can say that Shinon's better, much better, but Rolf has a better stat growth, I suppose. In the end, both of them are pretty equal. I'm not sure for Leonardo, though usually for me, he always ends up more beastly as a marksman than the two others, haha.
But yeah, We can't really say who's the best since it depends of the RNG, lol.

Woah, you got many character dead, lol! XD Usually, unless it's characters I don't really care about, when a character dies, I always restart. Usually those I can let die without problems are Fiona, Astrid, Lyre and Sanaki (LOL they are all girls). I'd say Kyza too, but I never used him :c

Well, i finally finished the game(on my second file) nd only Rhys and Mist died! Huzzah! Except, I'm doing it over again, and if Rhys dies, i is turning it off. I like Rhys lol he's a good fighter and healing dude,
And seeing as how i know have PoR, how do i recruit Shinon again? I had to kill him with Titania
I actually still have Astrid, Fiona, Lyre, and Sanaki. Only because i never deploy them... but still, they're still alive XD

Actually, I mean that Shinon is one of the rare units who are higher levels BUT actually has super good stats for a higher leveled character. Basically, he's starting good and he will likely stay very good until the end (that, of course, if you keep using him), while Rolf starts off weak, but will be very good.
So basically, it takes times and efforts to make Rolf's good while it takes nothing to make Shinon good.

Yeah I wondered too how the heck he could keep it secret in the middle of a battlefield, especially since it's kinda obvious on how he learned it. Though I guess Ike and Boyd are too distracted to guess it, lol (Ike didn't know Shinon was Rolf's master until a base conversation in Radiant Dawn, haha) and it's obvious Oscar could guess by himself, ohoho.

I can't get Shinon at this point because my Rolf is so weak I can't get him to his range as he ends up being killed soon after being too exposed.Dammit
I like Shinon.Despite being such a jerk.I even named my OC in hommage to him.But mah Shinon is tottaly different,he's not owning anyone with F** bow!(He stabs people with a syrian sword hehe)
