Hum, yeah. A crappy idea I got while playing Path of Radiance. There's that chapter where you can re-recruit Shinon by talking to him with Rolf, then finish him with Ike. The only problem with that is that Shinon is an enemy on that map, so when I try to make him "approach" my team, he can end up killing one of my members (which happened to poor Devdan
). I usually use Oscar to get into Shinon's killing range since he kicks ass so much in this game and not only he's a killer, but he's a tank (so Shinon always does 0 damage to him. Mouhahaha)!Anyway, that scene is supposed to explain that Shinon is the one who taught Rolf archery, and it's supposed to be a secret (I guess Shinon probably doesn't want to show people that he likes kids
). But how can this be a secret if I always surround Shinon with that much characters hanging around him (so that way he can't kill anyone. Sucks to have archers stuck with a range of 2, and not at least 1-2 like mages)? Fire Emblem physic, I guess...I always thought Oscar already knows that Shinon is Rolf's teacher because it's kinda obvious, but Boyd still doesn't know. Anyone thinks the same? ^_^
Yeah that's Ike behind Shinon. And I had to draw Kieran because he's made of too much awesomeness. Yeah and I made Shinon looks kinda soft... well... I guess deep inside him he's a softie
And I was too lazy to make a bg. Or to add super details. So it's crappy.

Exactly what my sister and I were thinking at this scene.
And I had EVERYONE around Rolf so he didn't get killed by anyone. Which made it funnier.
I guess secrets are hard to keep in this game.

Shinon is soo awesome, probably my first favourite from Path of Radiance <3 I always had to recruit him in every playthrough, even if I wasn't planning to use him (or even if I wasn't using Rolf; it's kinda scary to put him there as a level 1 archer..)
I'm not sure about this, but I think I lured Shinon into my party's range just by putting Rolf into his movement area and Shinon automatically came to talk to him. But since I can't remember that well, don't go ruining almost finished chapter by either of these two getting killed ;D

Lol, I do that too. While Shinon is one of my favorite characters, he kinda sucks in PoR and I don't use him much. And he tends to be rng screwed all the time I use him D:
Yeah, I think it happened to me too. Not sure, but he won't attack Rolf, but Rolf can attack him. Imagine the face he does when Rolf kills him? O_o
That reminds me of that one fan art I've seen of Rolf having killed Shinon >_> Poor poor Shinon

Well, doesn't Shinon say "It's time for the pupil to face his master!" in the end of their little chat? I think it would be kinda interesting if Rolf really killed him, but no nah nono, I don't think I'll ever want to do that D:
Yeah, he does kinda suck, but being the person I am, I always favor him and he usually turns out to be quite decent. Too bad I can't experience him in RD (no Wii ._. )

Well all archers in RD are hax, I use them all and they never failed me 
So when you'll get a Wii and RD, you should use them XD

Awww... I totally remember this part! It was so cute! And I remember thinking the exact same thing! Ha ha! "Ssh! It's a secret!" Right.. the five people encircling you will just pretend not to have heard that. The way you have them set up- not only reminiscent of how I had my characters set up- but also reminds me of how secret service men stand. Which only makes me laugh harder. ^^"

The desert chapter? Yeah it was kinda hard o_O You could just deploy your stronger invincible characters (humm... like... Oscar!!! XD Though he can't move well in the sand, but it's okay, at least he can still move a bit

Okay I have to ask you something since I know you've already done it--How exactly do you recruit Shinon again? You said in the comments you talk to him with Rolf and then have Ike "finish him." I got Rolf to talk to him but then Ike can't. Do you have to kill Shinon and then Ike spares him or something? Because I've tried killing him but not with Ike.
If you could get back to me on that by Friday (next time I get to use my games.) I'd really appreciate it.

Well yes, Ike has to kill him (well at least get the last blow on him) ^^ Yeah I was confused at first, seeing Shinon die and such, but at the end of the chapter, he magically revives! 
When Ike get near Shinon, there will be no Talk command. They will automatically talk if Ike attacks Shinon (or vice versa) XD
BTW, if any of the Greil Mercenaries (beside Mia) attacks Shinon, there are some interesting dialogues ^_^

I knew about the automatic dialouges but I couldn't seem to figure it out.
I would just go look up the recruitment methods on feplanet.net but it only says "automaticaly from chapter whatever" for Shinon.

In Radiant Dawn, Shinon is SO strong...Although, in my game, Rolf was stronger.

One day I put Gatrie in his attack range and Shinon used all of his arrow on him even if it was useless (damageless) then I attacked him.
